Malyssa Yarde is a dedicated Attorney-At-Law, licensed to practice in Barbados and The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Malyssa holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus, Jamaica (2019), and a Legal Education Certificate (LEC) from The Hugh Wooding Law School, Trinidad & Tobago (2021). She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree, Accounting (Special), from the Cave Hill Campus, Barbados of the UWI (2016). Being called to Bar in Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago in 2021, Malyssa has garnered much experience in the legal field, she has successfully handled a range of cases in her areas of practice. Malyssa took the bold step in October 2021 to establish her own private practice, Fidus Legal, in Barbados and The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Her home office is based in Barbados, from where her Trinidad & Tobago clients are serviced mostly remotely. Malyssa’s enterprising spirit has also led her to venture into the real estate market, where she has also attained the accreditation to be a Real Estate Agent. She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of “Eastside Living Real Estate & Property Development Inc”. This real estate company is registered in Barbados, and offers services like rentals, sales and facilitating the construction of homes. Describing herself as a Caribbean person at heart, Malyssa has an unwavering commitment to excellence, and is passionate about providing trusted legal counsel to her clients through thorough research, attention to detail and ensuring she fully understands and meets each client’s unique needs and objectives.
